DZ Driver

One of our clients is hiring a DZ Driver/Garbage truck operator in St. Catherine’s, ON!

Responsibilities:

• Operate a DZ Garbage or Recycle Truck
• Conduct residential curbside pickup
• Load and unload materials
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Drive and load, sharing duties with another driver/loader
• Ensure safety and compliance with company policies
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
• Provide friendly and reliable service, completing daily routes
• Perform repetitive lifting up to 50lbs
• Collect and deliver to local transfer stations and landfills
• Drive and load for up to 800 residential stops per day

Requirements:

• Experience with loading and unloading materials preferred
• Valid DZ driver’s license with clean CVOR and Driver’s Abstract
• Ability to operate a DZ truck and other equipment
• Strong communication skills and attention to safety detail
• Ability to lift heavy materials, up to 50lbs
• Steel-toed work boots above the ankle and a high visibility vest required
• Full-time availability for 10/12 hour days
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions

Work Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Start Time: 6:30 am
• Average Daily Hours: 10/12 hours
• Saturdays are required during peak season and holiday coverage

Hourly Rate: $24 with lots of overtime available after 44 hours
