Able Lock Service Ltd. Is looking for a self-motivated individual for a full-time locksmith position. This person can work independently, has a positive attitude with the ability to intuitively see how things work and problem solve the issue. The locksmith will be responsible for servicing, repair, installation, and adjustments of a variety of mechanical and electrical locking mechanisms in Residential, Commercial, and Industrial environments. They are able to diagnose and suggest solutions for locking mechanism problems.

Required Qualifications:
• Have minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a practicing locksmith
• Read, write, and speak English (fluently)
• Legal status in Canada
• Knowledge of residential, commercial, and institutional door hardware
• Are professional, courteous and have great customer service skills
• Be familiar with the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area and comfortable travelling throughout most of Southern Ontario
• Are detailed orientated and have good time management skills
• Can listen and follow through with instructions
• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity are an asset
• Have no criminal record

Job Description:
• Install, repair, rebuild, adjust and service mechanical or electrical locking devices
• Install locks and locking hardware in a variety of different materials using all different tools
• Understanding of card access and the way low voltage wiring and strike installations are to be installed
• Installation of automatic door operators and barrier free washroom kits
• Cut and duplicate keys, patterns, or codes
• Basic knowledge of safes and combination changing
• Aluminum doors service and metal door installation
• Complete service paperwork and maintain confidential client records
• Fabricate lock parts
• Other duties to be assigned as required

Salary: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience
