Hiring General Labour/ Garbage Sorter

We are looking for a General Laborer for one of our clients who can start immediately.

Job Type: Full time, Temp. to Permanent

Shift Available:
Weekly Rotational Shifts
4:30 pm to 2:30 am & 6:00 pm to 6:00 am

Job Responsibilities:
Inspect & Sort: Be the frontline guardian against contamination by carefully inspecting and removing unwanted material from designated sorting areas.
Efficient Sorting: Use your keen eye to inspect materials and efficiently sort items into designated categories, helping contribute to a cleaner and greener environment.
Versatility: Adapt to various work environments, whether working on a line or in a free-range garbage sorting station.
Safety First: Prioritize safety by adhering to strict health and safety procedures, and promptly reporting any issues to supervisors.
Team Player: Maintain a clean and organized workspace while supporting your team in achieving excellence.
Physical Agility: Engage in tasks involving reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending to ensure tasks are completed with precision and efficiency.

Job Requirements:
Prior sorting experience with materials such as metal, cardboard, plastic, and trash is an asset.
Strong communication skills with a focus on problem-solving.
Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Ability to work in a recyclable garbage-filled environment, both indoors and outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.
Physical capability to lift between 20 – 60 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Punctuality and an excellent attendance record.
CSA-approved safety shoes.
