A Day in the Life as an ECE: As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with educators and families to provide a home away from home for the children in our care.

Some of the duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children
Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional, physical, social, and intellectual needs
Implementing lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development
Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children
Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who has:

An Early Childhood Education Certification Level 1, 2 or 3 and has at least 1 year of experience in the child care field
An up to date police clearance and first aid
A flexible schedule – shift is Mon-Thurs 2pm – 6pm and Fri 12pm – 6pm
A passion for early childhood education and a desire to work in a family-oriented environment
An ability to create a positive environment for children while also providing quality care
Strong interpersonal skills
A growth mind-set and a passion for creating a fun environment
An understanding of emergent curriculum is an asset
