Hiring Experienced Part-Time Nanny in Saanich, BC $23/hr Startin

We’d like to welcome a part time nanny into our family, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:30pm (with every second Monday off with pay) starting January 3, 2025. We are a family of three (mom, dad and 18 month old boy) who live in the Royal Oak neighbourhood. We both work from home and have a playful, gentle approach to raising our son.
Mornings include a focus on learning through play, reading and discovering. We are close to parks, so there may be opportunities to explore outdoors as well. We limit screen time and encourage independent play. We will need help feeding lunch, however, the meal will be prepped beforehand. There may be times where support with breakfast will be required, but meals will be prepped ahead of time as well.

Work details:
• Part time, live out nanny, 8:30am – 12:30pm Mon-Fri with every second Monday off (paid)
• $23/hr
• Two weeks paid time off, one week to be coordinated with our vacation, one week is to use at your discretion
• 5 sick days
• Paid holidays
• Paid by direct deposit with taxes withheld

Experience and Education Requirements:
• First Aid/CPR certification
• 3 or more years experience
• Prefer some college, Early Childhood Education coursework is an asset
• Vaccination status up to date (doesn’t have to include COVID)
• Licensed and insured driver
• Conversational English (can be first or second language)

Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day care of our son (diapering, feeding etc.). No known allergies (but currently avoiding shellfish due to family history), no medical conditions.
• General activity planning to guide age appropriate learning
• Lots of reading and play
