Role Overview
Reporting to the Team Lead, Employee Development, the Training Administrator is a key member of our Employee Development team, responsible for supporting employee training across NL Hydro. While primarily focused on a specific region (Churchill Falls or Central Newfoundland), this role includes supporting training initiatives company-wide, with required travel across various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and conduct on-site training sessions, including developing and managing the annual training plan and supporting budget management.
- Program Development: Assist in designing internal training programs that meet operational needs.
- Consultation: Work with business unit managers and supervisors to identify, plan, and schedule internal and external training, mobilizing necessary resources.
- Liaison for External Training: Assist operations in identifying trainers, obtaining quotes, and arranging resources for visiting trainers.
- Learning Management System Oversight: Manage the Learning Management System and provide guidance on training policies, standards, and programs.
- Legislative and Internal Standards: Ensure training programs comply with legislative and internal standards and support apprenticeship programs.

- Power Line Hazards
- Incident Investigation
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space
- Aerial Lift
Qualifications:
- Completion of a relevant post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent education and experience in a skilled trade, training role, or as an educator.
- 3-5 years of experience in training coordination or delivery.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Excel, database management, and Learning Management Systems.
- Knowledge of OHS training requirements is an asset.
- A Class Five (5) Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel to various Hydro locations across Newfoundland and Labrador.
