Seasonal Labourer Position on Irrigated Cropping Farm

North Paddock Farms Ltd is an irrigated cropping farm located just south of Taber, Alberta and we are looking for a new person to join our team. This is a seasonal position starting at the beginning of April until the end of October, but we can be flexible if needed. Our farm uses modern equipment and technology to grow potatoes, timothy hay, seed canola, flax, various cereals and garlic. The work week is approximately 40-50 hours per week, plus more during planting and harvest. Check out our Facebook and Instagram pages for more farm photos.

We are open to applicants from overseas with a working-holiday visa, or equivalent. Our farm is located close to the Rocky Mountains. It’s a great chance to check our agriculture in another country in your Gap Year or OE!

Duties will include:
• Operate tractors and field equipment
• Operate and maintain irrigation systems
• Repair and maintain trucks and tractors
• Repair and maintain facilities

Skills/Qualifications:
• Must be over 18
• Skills in equipment maintenance
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Class 5 (Class 1 or 3 an advantage)
• Must be able to work the occasional Sunday
• Previous experience working on a farm an advantage

Wage is dependent on experience. Also includes cell phone allowance and a vehicle to be used around the farm.
