Kitchen Helper Needed in Etobicoke (Cash Job)

We are looking for a reliable and efficient Kitchen Helper with a car to join our dynamic culinary team. The Kitchen Helper will assist with various kitchen tasks, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and support chefs and cooks in preparing delicious meals. Additionally, the Kitchen Helper will be responsible for transporting food and supplies between locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation:
• Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits.
• Assist in preparing ingredients for various dishes.
• Measure and mix ingredients as directed by the chef or cook.
• Help with basic cooking tasks, such as grilling, frying, and baking under supervision.

2. Cleaning and Sanitation:
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, counters, and equipment.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly.
• Ensure all food storage areas are clean and organized.
• Follow sanitation policies and procedures to ensure a hygienic environment.

3. Inventory Management:
• Assist in receiving and storing food supplies and equipment.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
• Label and store food items correctly to prevent spoilage.

4. Team Support:
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Must know how to measure ingredients and bake (very important).
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:
• Must be willing to work full-time from with open availability(IMPORTANT)
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
• Manual dexterity and stamina to handle kitchen tasks efficiently.

Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
