If you love working outdoors, consider joining our family-oriented feedlot operation in Southern Alberta. Following our recent expansion, we are looking for a self-starter with a positive attitude who is eager to work in all areas of our feedlot.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the well-being of cattle, identifying any ill or injured animals
Treat, process, sort, implant, receive, and ship cattle
Collaborate with veterinarians on cattle health and treatment
Maintain feedlot facilities, including fences and water troughs
Handle bedding and pen maintenance
Assist with feeding cattle as needed
Service and maintain equipment
Oversee silage pit maintenance
Perform snow removal during winter months
Operate equipment such as loaders, tractors, and farm trucks
Maintain yard areas, including the feedlot and shop
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills (verbal, email, text, and in-person)
Valid driver’s license
Basic math skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (25 kg)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SSG Fusion is a plus (training provided)
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
