Job description
Nobleton Tactical Security Guards are responsible for delivering advanced security services in a diverse range of duties and posts within the GTA. You will be servicing various sites across the Greater Toronto Area delivering superior service with professionalism and competence. Tactical Security Guards use their presence, training, and equipment to provide a high level of safety, security, and customer service to client sites. As a result of the services required, tactical guards maintain a much higher standard of training and professionalism.

Duties:

Create and maintain a safe environment
Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Recording and maintaining a log of daily activities, unusual or special occurrences via handwritten notes, various computer software, and/or voice and video recording.
Providing Security Services at varying locations, through operating security systems, monitoring, and patrolling
Monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, including immediate response to emergency or law enforcement calls.
Recognizing, investigating, and acting on possible breaches of security, fire, and safety hazards, prohibited entry, theft and malfunction or interruption of utilities.
Being an ambassador of the client site as well as Nobleton Security by providing customer service, answering public inquiries, and performing guard tours along designated patrol routes. Assist in the movement of visitors and staff.
Informing the designated authorities in the event of security, fire, or health emergencies
Escorting designated authorities, police, fire, ambulance personnel to emergency location
Screening unauthorized persons and physically removing persons found trespassing or engaging in criminal acts or breaching the policies.
Legally arrest individuals and surrender the same to a Peace Officer as soon as possible.
Be “Intervention-Capable”, and able to handle situations that occur in a legal, defensible manner.
Receiving and recording complaints, conducting investigations, preparing incident reports, and conducting follow up investigations.
Performing emergency response duties in accordance with the Emergency Response Manual
Working directly with the service providers on site to best provide a safe environment.
Working Conditions:

Must be able to stand/walk for long periods
Work may be outdoors and indoors or a combination of the two.
Employment Requirements:

Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Must Possess a valid Security license.
Must be able to regularly refresh training including but not limited to:
PSISA
Use of Force
Conflict resolution and de-escalation
Ability to multi-task and attend to several incidents at once.
Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education
Must have superior knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and 5 Steps to a Proper Arrest
Excellent written & verbal communication and active listening skills
Positive attitude
Available to work nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
Must be comfortable working in potentially violent environments

Extra consideration will be given to employees with the following attributes & qualifications:

Police foundations, investigations, community justice, law enforcement-based diploma.
Use of Force and/or Management of Resistive Behavior from trainer approved by the Ministry of the Solicitor General (StaySafe, Monadnock Defensive Tactics, Burgess and Associates)
Physical size
Military Background
Martial arts experience
Standard First Aid & CPR C (or better)
Mental Health Awareness Certification (MHAR)
G Drivers’ License with clear abstract
