Sr. Maintenance Mechanic- Markham, ON

We are currently looking for a senior maintenance mechanic to coordinate, oversee and continually develop the maintenance activities at our Markham manufacturing facility. This will be a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic role that also directs and coordinates the activities of the other Maintenance Mechanics.
Salary for this role is $75-85k/Annum.

Specifically, you will:

• Coordinate with Plant Management to schedule PM on plant machinery and equipment.
• Develop and oversee the PM schedule including machine operator PM requirements to ensure maintenance time frames, milestones etc. are being maintained.
• Develop standard monitoring processes for equipment and functions such as coolant quality control, Transor check valve monitoring and blackening water changes.
• Ensure daily PM Program tasks are assigned, completed, and properly recorded in the maintenance system logs.
• Oversee and coordinate any deficiency repairs identified.
• Respond to and assign personnel to maintenance jobs as per the current maintenance request program.
• Participate in troubleshooting machinery and equipment breakdowns.
• Recommend maintenance repair solutions including the purchase of replacement parts as required.

Skills/Qualifications:
• Graduate of Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or Millwright program or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of CNC machinery and equipment.
• Some knowledge of PLC controls an asset.
• Able to weld with gas and electrode an asset.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
