Aramark is recruiting a Chef Manager for our culinary service for employees of a large warehouse in Bowmanville, ON.  This operation will service approximately 100 patrons during the weekdays from Monday ? Friday.

Our Chef Manager will also play a key role in helping us meet budget requirements and execute company-delivered programs.

Job Responsibilities

?    Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality 
?    Prepare and serve made-to-order dishes from the menu selection
?    Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus 
?    Estimate food consumption, conduct inventories, ordering, receiving; manage costs and budgets 
?    Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
?    Provide exceptional customer service to the patrons who work for the client on-site 
?    Hire and train 1 hourly staff member to assist in food service and opening/closing duties

Qualifications

?    Requires a minimum of 2 years? experience in a sous-chef or similar role
?    Post-secondary culinary degree or diploma is preferred
?    Previous management experience is preferred
?    Ability to prepare a variety of culinary dishes using PRIMA recipe database
?    Some business acumen to manage budgets and P&L concepts 
?    Solid interpersonal and customer service skills to represent Aramark at the client site 
?    Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession 
?    Requires computer skills and strong oral communication ability
