Help to fix basement leak

Hi, I have some watermarks on my carpet and baseboard indicating I had a leak in one room in my basement. It is dry now. I need some help to cut the drywall, remove the baseboard and investigate the leak. Also, to do some waterproofing to make sure there are no more leaks. I think the leak is most probably from snow melting outside near the foundation.

If you have some EXPERIENCE with this, please let me know. Will pay $20 per hour with business cheque for your help. However there will not be any tax deductions.
