Yardscape is seeking a Crew Lead for its grounds maintenance team.

Positions will direct staff in maintaining customers lawns, shrubs, etc. during the summer and remove snow from customer properties in the winter. Yardscape also provides landscape solutions to customers which could include pavers, rock accents, sod or other design elements.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated Leadership skills, communication skills, and initiative. Be physically fit with the ability to work in temperatures related to Regina climate. Successful candidate will be dependable, have an excellent work ethic and a lot of common sense. An understanding of customer service and the desire to provide excellent customer service will make you the right candidate.

A valid driver’s license is a non-negotiable requirement as you could be driving a 1-ton truck pulling an equipment trailer. Your own reliable transportation to get to and from the shop in the early mornings is an asset or the ability to arrive at the work place in the early morning (6:00am in the winter).

Past experience in maintaining lawns and external property is desired and should include experience in operating small engine equipment such as riding mowers, walk behind lawn mowers, gas trimmers, back pack blowers, snow blowers, etc.

Successful candidate will start as part of the working team earning up to $20 per hour depending on previous experience and progress into the Crew Lead position with a salary of $25 – $30 per hour. Yardscape has a unique way of compensating for winter service which pays employees for being called out on short notice to provide service immediately following a snow fall. Yardscape also maintains a call-out list for individuals looking to supplement their income by clearing snow on a one off basis. Ideal for college or university students.
