Our client in the automotive industry is seeking a Mechanically Inclined Welder. You will be part of the Production Department supporting the Truck Equipment Team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, welding experience, and the ability to work within given timelines to meet customer requirements and expectations.
Job Title: Mechanic
Location: Kingston, ON
Pay Range: $18 – $24 based on experience
What’s the Job?
- Demonstrate an understanding of mechanical/electrical systems and welding with a range of types of materials
- Installation of truck equipment such as dump bodies, snow & ice products (snow plows, spreader) including welding bodies to frames
- Diagnose Electrical issues and repair
- Repair hydraulic components including lines, etc.
- Test and adjust units to specifications
What’s Needed?
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Ability to weld steel using various welding and cutting equipment including mig, tig, plasma and oxy/acetylene
- Use of a variety hand and pneumatic tools and measuring equipment consistent with industry standards
- Use of overhead cranes as required
- Promote and participate in workplace safety, environmentally sound and healthy behaviours and objectives
