Overview:

Business Development Representative

TELUS is looking for a self-starter with exceptional relationship building and sales skills to join the team.  As a District Sales Manager (hybrid remote) with a territory encompassing the Lower Mainland, you will be responsible for the day-to-day program execution within the Lower Mainland at a variety of national retailers (Walmart, Best Buy, Apple, etc.) and independent TELUS/Koodo dealers.  This includes driving overall sales across all brands within the TELUS family (TELUS, Koodo, Koodo Prepaid, mobility and home services) while ensuring partners are provided with world class support and service.  You will be supported by the Regional Manager and accountable to execute a comprehensive district plan while cultivating strong customer relationships.

 Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our TELUS Sales and Marketing teams to develop a scalable partnership strategy tailored to each partner’s needs
  • Receive comprehensive tools and training to effectively prospect and connect with a diverse range of organizations, presenting our compelling value proposition
  • Your primary goal will be to secure meetings to discuss partnership options with TELUS
  • As a self-starter and connector, you will engage with internal and external decision-makers, fostering strong communication and collaboration

 Responsibilities:

  • You will also contribute to the overall strategy development of the EPP, one of the fastest-growing segments in our business
  • Completed university degree or college diploma
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in wireless and/or 2 years’ sales experience in wireless (retail or dealer channel)
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to find, develop and close leads/partnerships
  • Strong prospecting and closing skills in a sales environment
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive customer relationships as well as work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to influence and build immediate strong rapport with partners/customers
  • Knowledge of the Canadian wireless and home solutions market is an asset
  • Advanced working knowledge of Google suite
  • Work with minimal supervision through a flexible and mobile work style:
    • Working from a home based office
    • Flexible to work evenings and weekends when required
