Metal Fabricator

The Fabricator will be responsible for setting up and operating press brakes, shear, iron worker and other metal forming equipment. At all times maintaining a high commitment to safety, and quality with a focus on customer satisfaction, and on time delivery. You will ensure that all parts, and sub-assemblies are formed to required specifications while maintaining the standard of quality expected.

Major Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate hydraulic press brakes to bend various types of metal including aluminum, carbon steel, copper, stainless, etc.
• Set up and operate shear to cut various types of metal including aluminum, carbon steel, copper, stainless, etc.
• Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products.
• Form parts to drawing requirements.
• Verify parts meet customer/drawing specifications and are cut and formed to the correct dimensions.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Drive forklift to load and unload machinery
• Communicate and assist co-workers and supervisor when required.

Qualifications:

• Experience of 3 years minimum using a Hydraulic Press Brake
• Experience of 3 years minimum using a Shear
• Must have excellent English communication oral & written
• Basic computer knowledge for timekeeping and material usage.
• Know how to convert metric and imperial measurements
• Forklift certification or willingness to get certified
• Physical Requirements & Disadvantages:
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Exposure to various weather conditions.
• Exposure to natural and environmental elements such as noise, dust, dirt, water, sharp objects, small spaces, and odors.
• Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and stand for over 3 hours at a time.
