Looking to bring on a few experienced shinglers as well as labourers.
Shinglers:

– Working at heights certified
– Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license with clean abstract considered an asset
– Willing to work out of town (North Bay, Sudbury, Muskoka – as far south as Gravenhurst and Parry Sound
– Sense of adventure mandatory – you will need this on some jobs!
Reply to post with experience, wage expectations, small spiel describing yourself (hobbies, likes, dislikes and notable achievements as a roofer/shingle), strengths/ weaknesses and references.
Labourers:
– No previous experience required
– Must be comfortable with heights or willing to overcome that fear – it is possible! (I used to be afraid to get on a roof, now I operate a roofing business and do some fairly large and steep ones alone)
– Coachable personality with STRONG work ethic a definite must! Labouring is a tough gig!
– Obtain working at heights certification within 1 month of employment
– Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license with clean abstract considered an asset
– Willing to work out of town (North Bay, Sudbury, Muskoka – as far south as Gravenhurst and Parry Sound
– Sense of adventure mandatory – you will need this on some jobs!
Fair wages for fair effort! $20/hr – $35
We will spend lots of time together, so looking for the right fit. Attitude means more to me than experience.
This is a small company so shinglers will be expected to take on labourer tasks at times. NO YELLING FOR BUNDLES, COILS ETC.
If you think you’re up for the adventure and working on a “tight ship” reply to post with brief description about yourself (likes, dislikes, strengths/weaknesses and notable achievements as an employee).
There’s absolutely no reason you can’t work your butt off, but have a good time while doing so…sometimes this job will plain and simple suck, but the right attitude can turn that frown upside down! (note – work your butt off comes 1st). This job is harder than most and will test your will power over and over and over again. Note I keep emphasizing how hard this job can be! In the past I have warned people of how hard labouring can be only to hear them say, “wow, this is harder than I thought or you guys do this everyday?!”. – Keep this in mind!
As they say, “what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger”. You can bet your green a you’ll be strong AF after a season of crushing roofs! You will soon develop a super hero type mentality know what you’re capable of accomplishing as a well rounded roofer!
Coaching/mentorship available if you’d like to be your own boss within the roofing industry.
