Hiring Experienced Carpenter

We are looking for an experienced Carpenter who also has plumbing and electrical experience to join our team. We are based in The Blue Mountains and service mostly Collingwood to Thornbury area.

Duties and responsibilities include but aren’t limited to, the following:

– Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications
– Framing of walls, buildings, decks etc.
– Installing trim/mouldings
– Installation and troubleshooting of windows and doors
– Aluminum work including trough, fascia and soffit
– Experience with flooring installs considered an asset
– Handling of drywall. Mudding/taping considered an asset
– Experience with light electrical work including installation of light fixture installs and minor roughing in of boxes, switches and outlets. Capable of troubleshooting shortage issues is preferred
– Experience with general plumbing work including sink and toilet troubleshooting and installs, rerouting ABS, pex, and copper plumbing

Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– 5 years of carpentry experience
– Completion of a carpentry program at a vocational school or carpentry apprenticeship is preferred
– A valid driver’s license and vehicle to get from job to job
– Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction
– Capability to work with others and independently
– Proficient in using various types of construction tools and equipment
– Experienced in minor plumbing and electrical work
– Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity

Position Schedule: Monday-Friday, 35-40 hours/week

Pay Range: $25-$45 per hour, depending on experience
