Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Painter to prepare and paint a variety of surfaces, ensuring our clients receive the highest standard of workmanship. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparing surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, and priming.
2. Applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
3. Mixing and matching paint colors to achieve the desired results.
4. Repairing and touching up any imperfections.
5. Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition.
6. Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
7. Collaborating with team members and communicating effectively with clients.
8. Estimate paint quantities and project budgets accurately, considering area size, surface texture, and labor costs.

Qualifications:

– Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role over 6 months.
– College diploma or equivalent.
– English proficiency at CLB 5 or higher.
– Solid understanding of painting techniques and surface preparation.
– Proficiency with painting tools and equipment (e.g., brushes, rollers, spray equipment).
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills.
– Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
– Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25lbs.

Compensation and Benefits:

– Salary: $29 per hour. The working hours beyond 44 hours per week will be compensated at a rate of $43.50 per hour, paid monthly.

Work Schedule:

– Regular work hours will be from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on project demands.

Conditions of Employment:

– Successful completion of a background check.
– Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
– Probation: You will be on probation for the first three (3) months of your employment during which time your performance and suitability for the position will be evaluated.
