Job Title: Driving Instructor

Job Type: On-Call, Minimum 20 Hours Per Week

Job Overview:
Shahjalal Driving School is seeking a dedicated and patient Driving Instructor to join our team. As a Driving Instructor, you will play a crucial role in helping students of all levels, from beginners to those preparing for their driving exams, develop the skills and confidence needed to drive safely and responsibly. You will provide hands-on driving lessons, assess progress, and ensure that students are well-prepared for the road.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personalized, one-on-one driving lessons to students based on their skill level and learning needs.
Teach essential driving techniques, road safety rules, and defensive driving practices.
Conduct driving assessments and provide constructive feedback for student improvement.
Prepare students for their G1, G2, and G road tests, ensuring they understand the requirements and expectations.
Maintain a professional and positive attitude while fostering a supportive learning environment.
Ensure that vehicles used for instruction meet safety standards and are well-maintained.
Keep accurate records of students’ progress and communicate with them regarding their development.
Adhere to Ontario driving regulations and ensure that students are well-versed in these rules.
Qualifications/Requirements:

Must be a resident of Ontario and hold a current Driver’s Licence.
Must have your own vehicle no more than five years old (for teaching purposes).
Minimum of 5 years of driving experience with a clean driving record.
No criminal record.
Ability to follow Shahjalal Driving School’s curriculum effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism.
Friendly, cheerful, and outgoing demeanor.
Soft skills such as empathy, understanding, compassion, and patience are essential for success in this role.
Punctuality and a deep understanding of students’ concerns and desires.
Work Hours:

On-call with flexible scheduling.
Minimum 20 hours per week.
