Drywall Installer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various installation tasks and demonstrate proficiency in construction-related skills. This role involves working on-site to install, repair, and maintain various structures and fixtures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Salary: $28.50 hourly / 40 hours per week

Duties
• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
• Clean and prepare surfaces
• Cure freshly plastered surfaces
• Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
• Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
• Install exterior and interior steel studs
• Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation
• Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
• Utilize laser alignment system

Skills
– Knowledge of drywall installation methods and finishing processes.
– Carpentry skills for building custom installations as required.
– General maintenance person skills to address various installation challenges.
– Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
