Our client in the food production industry seeking a skilled 4th Class Power Engineer to join their team. In this key role, you will be part of the supporting maintenance and functionality of the machinery at the plant.
 
Job Title: 4th Class Power Engineer
Location: Abbotsford, B.C.
Pay Range: $38 per hour

What’s the Job?

  • Accountable for preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment as per the work order requests, equipment stoppages or breakdowns.
  • Accountable to adhere to and utilize company policies and procedures and HACCP regulations.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment for co-workers, customers, and visitors.
  • Work in a safe, responsive manner, respecting workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Physically demanding role; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, have good hand-eye coordination, and high attention to detail.
  • Extended standing and walking for long periods of time.
  • Performs other duties as required.

 
What’s Needed?

  • 4th Class Power Engineering (TSBC License)
  • Grade 12 Diploma or High School equivalent.
  • Maintenance Experience (previous experience preferred)
  • Ability to work Rotational shifts.
  • Mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems knowledge, and an ability to use power and manual tools.
  • Inhouse opportunity to receive further training towards a Millwright Journeyman Certificate
  • Basic computer knowledge and math skills
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
