Industrial Electrician

An industrial electrician at Apple Valley Foods Inc. is a part of, and supports the maintenance team. They are responsible for maintaining the smooth functioning of the electrical components and electronic control systems of a high-speed food manufacturing facility by doing regular installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

• Maintain industrial instrumentation and related devices
• Replace or repair electrical components
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
• Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
• Interpret electrical code specifications
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
• Adhere to all Apple Valley Foods Inc. Health and Safety, Food Safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices
• Perform other duties as required
