With over two decades of experience, The Panel Shop, a part of the Pennecon Services and Maintenance Division, is a leader in designing and producing custom industrial control panels. Our panels are QA tested, guaranteed, and certified to CSA C22.2 No286 and UL 508A standards. Since opening in 1995 in Fredericton, NB, we have delivered world-class design, programming, assembly, testing, and commissioning services across North America.
As an Instrumentation Technician Journeyperson, You Will:
- Inspect, test, and repair operational instruments and systems.
- Install, calibrate, and adjust control instruments and components.
- Develop PLC/HMI/SCADA systems and provide on-site start-up and commissioning services.
- Support panel fabrication facilities with commissioning and programming and Variable Frequency Drive selection and configuration.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver high-quality, customized solutions.
- Develop and nurture customer support and relationships
- Additional duties and field services as assigned.
Qualifications and Work Conditions:
- Post-Secondary diploma (in technology)
- Red Seal Certification preferred
- 4-10 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and control systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, circuit diagrams, and performing preventive maintenance.
- Experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA systems and Variable Frequency Drives.
- Travel will be required within the maritime provinces
- Fieldwork will be required
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
