Heavy Duty Journeyperson Mechanic Needed

Custom Truck and Trailer Repair is currently looking for a Heavy-Duty Journeyperson Mechanic with a Red Seal Certificate and a Sask. Safety Certificate.
Custom Truck and Trailer Repair, a division of Custom Courier Co. Ltd., is growing and looking for the right person to grow with us.

Qualifications:

– 5 years experience as a red seal journeyperson heavy duty mechanic is preferred.
– A current SGI Inspection Certificate is preferred.
– Have knowledge of most heavy trucks and trailers.
– Have excellent problem-solving skills.
– Have a working knowledge of computers, work orders, and ordering parts.
– Be results-oriented with a positive and strong work ethic.
– Able to work energetically and productively in a safe manner.
– Able to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.
– Able to work with others in a team.
– Possess good oral and written communication skills.
– Have good interpersonal skills.
– Able to lift heavy parts up to 50 – 75 lbs.
– A class 1-A Driver’s Licence would be an asset.
– Forklift experience would be an asset.
– Have a good sense of humour.

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

– Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy trucks and trailers.
– Perform SGI Vehicle Inspections according to regulatory guidelines.
– Follow a preventative fleet maintenance program.
– Maintain a clean and safe environment.

Work Schedule:

– Permanent full-time position.
– Standard shift will be 8 hours per day Monday to Friday.
– Flexible hours with paid overtime may be required.
– Weekend hours with paid overtime may occasionally be required.

– Salary will be $40 – $45 per hour, based on experience.
