Westquip Diesel Sales has a full-time position available for a Panel Technician/Assembler at its Calgary facility. We are looking for an individual to assist with the assembly of power equipment products and other general workshop duties who enjoys working in a casual yet fast paced environment.
Area isn’t transit accessible. Reliable transportation a must.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Fabricate, assemble and install project electrical, electronic, and mechanical components following applicable design drawings, BOMs, client specifications, regulatory codes, and industry/trade best practices.
• Layout components and materials as per drawings and specifications Pre-build component inspections
• Routing wire and cables neatly to ensure wiring standards are met.
• Assembly of electrical control panels, Junction boxes, PLC cabinets & VFD Packages enclosures, and junction boxes.
• Fabricate to print, including layout, mounting and wiring of components
• Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs & instruments
• Troubleshooting panels to eliminate wiring errors, component failures and ensure proper operation.
• Clean and maintain an efficient work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned or as needed
Requirements:
• Technician is required to have a high standard of quality and attention to detail Qualifications.
• 2 years recent and relevant experience.
• Electrical training an asset.
• Strong time management skills.
• Able to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
• Motivated, energetic, and personable.
• Professionalism, a positive attitude and willingness to work as a team.
• Demonstration of safe and quality minded work ethic.
• Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers and management
• Must be mechanically inclined with mechanical background
• Must provide their own tools. Tool list provided.
• Steel toed boots/shoes are a must. Other PPE provided as required
• Able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Hardworking, physically fit, energetic and motivated
• Able to operate skid steers, forklifts and overhead cranes safely without incident
• Able to operate a variety of hand and power tools to perform tasks
• Strong command of the English language both verbal and written
• Prefer a current Class 5 Driver’s License and must provide a current 3 year Drivers Abstract when submitting a resume
• Good work ethic
• Willing to learn
Hourly wage $25.00/HR to $28.00/HR. Benefit package 80% Medical & Dental. RRSP Contribution Matching Program.
