Night Shift Casual / On Call

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our Night Shift team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties
– Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
– Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and ensuring sanitary conditions.
– Conduct commercial cleaning of floors, windows, and surfaces to uphold facility standards.
– Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and reporting maintenance issues to management.
– Ensure proper disposal of waste materials and recycling according to company policies.
– Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
– Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests or spills as needed.

Requirements
– Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
– Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in all areas of responsibility.
– Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing improvement or maintenance.
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively with team members.
– Physical stamina is required; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require standing for long periods.
– Familiarity with basic facilities maintenance tasks is a plus.

Contract length: 7-8 months

Pay: From $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
