Project Estimator

Position Overview:
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for concrete projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong mathematical skills, and an ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure project success. The Estimator will play a key role in determining project feasibility and contributing to the overall profitability of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to create detailed estimates.
Accurately calculate material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
Analyze bid documents and project scopes to determine the most cost-effective solutions.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information.
Prepare and submit proposals, bids, and cost summaries.
Monitor ongoing projects and adjust estimates as needed to reflect changes in project scope.
Communicate with clients and provide value engineering options when applicable.
Stay up to date on industry trends, materials, and techniques to maintain competitive and accurate estimates.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Estimator in the concrete or construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor costs related to concrete.
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or equivalent).
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with local building codes and industry standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
