Seeking Live-in Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent

Seeking reliable Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.

We are looking for a dynamic duo to manage apartment buildings in the Stouffville Area with care and efficiency by being proactive problem solvers and keeping things running smoothly. This is a live in position for two individuals who would live together in an apartment in the building complex.

These positions involve:
• Rent collection: managing and organizing the collection of rent on a monthly basis.
• Tenant Relations: Foster positive relationships with tenants, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
• Renting: Manage the renting process by screening applicants, showing apartments, checking references and signing leases with successful candidates.
• Tenant requests: Organizing and coordinating repairs with maintenance or contractors.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Landlord Tenant Board, local regulations and property policies.
• Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to uphold the buildings’ condition.
• Building Cleanliness: Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the buildings’ common areas.
• Repairs: Handle minor repairs and oversee contractors for larger projects.
• Groundskeeping: Keep the grounds clean and well-groomed for a pleasant living environment.
• Emergency Response: Be available for after-hours emergencies and respond promptly to urgent situations.
• Security: Maintain building security measures to ensure the safety of residents and property.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
• Experience: Previous experience as a superintendent or in building maintenance preferred.
• Proficiency in English is a must, and is highly important. Clear correspondence with tenants is a regular task and is expected.
• Knowledge of Landlord and Tenants rights is an asset.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with tenants and contractors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Organization: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Resourcefulness and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected challenges.
