Roles and Responsibilities:
• Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Pre-Task Safety Checks: Conduct safety checks before starting any task, including checking tools and equipment for defects and ensuring the work area is free from hazards.
• Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas, following all lifting and carrying guidelines.
• Support for Skilled Workers: Assist skilled workers, such as carpenters, masons, and pipe layers, by holding materials, mixing concrete, and performing other tasks under their guidance.
• Site Clean-Up: Maintain a clean and organized work environment by regularly removing waste materials, sweeping, and disposing of debris in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Tool and Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction tools and equipment, such as jackhammers, drills, and compactors, following all operational and safety procedures.
• Environmental Compliance: Follow procedures for the proper disposal of waste and hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in construction or manual labor is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks safely.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of basic construction safety practices and regulations.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
