Repair shop in Scarborough needs motivated man power to work on and assist repairing of vehicles and trucks. Training provided. Air tool and mechanical skills is an asset but not required. ALSO LOOKING TO TRAIN AN INDIVIDUAL UP AND START FROM SCTRATCH TO LEARN A DIEING TRADE, GREAT OPPURTUNITY.
Our shop was founded over 25 years ago and is a family run repair shop. We specialize in Suspension and front end repair on fleet vehicles and trucks. We offer a wide range of suspension services for fleet vehicles. with this oppurtunity you will have the ability to expand on your knowledge and skill by working on many different applications from some large corporations and mucipalties. You will be working in a long standing and established business, to build a career in Toronto. Aiding in keep critical logistics online and utility vehicles on the for essential and emergency use, especially being in Canada where the weather can really take a toll on major components, from salt and cold increase wear and tear.
Detailed duties
Installing/replacing Leafs
Installing Springs into trucks
Repairing or Replacing Leafs
Making Ubolts and installing
Taking on and off suspension parts such as, hangers, shackles and other suspension parts
Using Hand tools such as, hammer, wrench, torque wrench
Using a cutting torch and responsible for the replacement of oxygen tanks and Acetylene
Rebushing suspension parts
Use of basic measuring skills
Operating a chop saw
Arching and Dearching leafs
Working on Heavy duty and light trucks, including trailers
Using air tools such as impact gun and others pertaining to the job
Working under all types of trucks
Using jacks and air jacks
Lifting up to 150 with assistance from another technician Sweeping, cleaning tools, removing of garbage etc
-Install ball joints, shocks and struts, lowering/raising kits, tie rods and other vehicle components.
-identify issues with front end of vehicles
-Diagnose and repair A/C systems, tune ups, tire rotations & repairs, rim balancing, brake repairs/replacement and servicing from heavy duty to light duty, engine servicing, engine overhaul and repair, radiator replacement, exhaust system repair, lighting and electrical repair and replacement, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventive maintenance on variety of heavy-duty and light vehicles
Diagnose and repair trucks, tractors, and more
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, be able to bend, crouch, & walk without discomfort
Keep work area organized and tidy in compliance with WSIB standards
