Our client in Ottawa Ontario is looking for a Mailroom clerk for an ongoing position and can be extended the hourly rate for this role is $19 an hour paid weekly. Hours are 8am – 4:00pm
Duties and Responsibilities: Mailroom Operations: Efficiently receive, sort, and log incoming mail and packages, ensuring accurate and timely distribution within the organization. Deliver mail and packages to designated areas throughout the building as needed, maintaining a high standard of service.
Requirements: Regularly lift and move items weighing up to 55 pounds unassisted, with lifting being an integral aspect of the position. Maintain physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and manage the physical demands of the role.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to mail and package deliveries. Communicate effectively with staff and departments to ensure smooth mailroom operations and enhance the overall experience.
Additional Requirements: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate logging and sorting of mail and packages. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a mailroom or related field is preferred.
