Looking for 2 Servers for Event in Leslieville September 28th
David CD
I am hosting a small gathering – attendance of no more than 20 people – at my home in Leslieville on Saturday, September 28. I need one person to start at 6:30p & work through 9:30p with the other to start at 7:00p & work through 10:00p. Having served in the past, this gig is going to be chill & stress-free.
The main focus will be to prep & serve beverages (limited assortment including wine, beer, vodka, rum, and whisky with basic mixers – Coke, Ginger, Cranberry, Soda) to guests with regular circulation. Glassware used by guests will be reused for refills (not renting glassware – it’s not that luxe an event) with no washing of used glassware at the end of the gathering.
There will be some minor appetizer prep (heating & plating) periodically during the evening (mini spring rolls, mini quiche, mini empanada) with service on serviettes (no plates when circulating but will make some available for guests who would like one).
Attire will be all black – trousers/jeans/skirt with fitted black t-shirt. As most of those attending are members of the 2SLGBTQ community, true to stereotypes and shallowness, being attractive (guys with beards are a plus) in good shape, friendly & flirty are all desired characteristics as is also being a member of the community (and not being uncomfortable around dogs).
It will be an easy $75 per server on a Saturday night for 3 hours or less of light effort; the official times for the gathering are 7p to 10p but if people clear out earlier than anticipated (it is not going to be a bender) than so do you.
If the cliché nature of the job and the type of person being sought along with the light effort needed the $75 for the gig, then I hope to hear from you with confirmation of the job being communicated no less than two weeks in advance of the event.
Experience serving at an eatery of some kind or in a bar is preferred as service trays will be in use.
