Pharmacy Assistant

We are looking for a pharmacy assistant to be a part of our team. The pharmacy technical
assistant will support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy.

Job Duties
1. Collaborate with the pharmacist to maintain proper drug storage and inventory of
products/supplies
2. Evaluate, interpret and input patient information and prescriptions in the pharmacy’s
computer system (Fillware)
3. Assist the pharmacist with the preparation, filling, packaging and labelling of
medications
4. Maintain prescription and inventory records/invoices
5. Prepare compliance packagings
6. Answer phone calls related to customer concerns
7. Perform cashier responsibilities for prescription and over the counter items

Skills Requirement
1. Graduate of a pharmacy assistant program or other pharmacy related programs
2. With relevant experience in a community pharmacy
3. Computer literate and knowledgable on the Fillware system
4. Pays attention to detail in interpreting prescription orders
5. Familiar with the commonly used medication names and uses

Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time position (30 hours per week)
Salary: $18 per hour
