Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Sign Installer / Construction Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and constructing signs, billboards, hoarding, and site signs. The ideal candidate will have experience in sign installation, construction, or a related field, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Install various types of signage including vinyl, metal, LED, illuminated signs, and large-format billboards.
Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical diagrams to ensure precise sign placement and installation.
Safely operate equipment such as lifts and scaffolding to install signs at elevated heights.
Secure signs to structures such as poles, walls, and frameworks using appropriate fasteners and techniques.
Conduct site assessments to determine the best methods for installation, ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety regulations
Assist in erecting and maintaining billboard structures, including wood framework, platforms, and support beams.
Prepare foundations for billboard structures by digging, pouring concrete, and installing support anchors. Install large-scale signage on billboards, ensuring alignment and tension of materials such as vinyl and fabric wraps
Build and install structural supports for signs, including steel, aluminum, and wooden frames.
Measure and cut materials such as metal and wood to create frames and backing for signs.
Use power tools to drill, bolt, and secure signs and frameworks in place.
Perform maintenance and repair on billboards, hoarding, and site signs, including replacing vinyl, repainting, and fixing structural damage.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in sign construction, installation, or a related field preferred.
Proficiency with tools and equipment specific to sign installation, such as lifts, scaffolding, and power tools.
Familiarity with reading blueprints, site plans, and technical diagrams.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing, lifting heavy materials, and working at heights.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols.
Working Conditions
Outdoor work at varying heights and in different weather conditions.
Use of heavy equipment and power tools in construction environments.
Potential travel to multiple job sites.
Flexibility for overtime and weekend work as required.
Compensation
$22 /hour
Benefits package upon completion of 4 month probation period.
