PART-TIME PRIVATE CAREGIVER REQUIRED

We are currently seeking an experienced PSW/Nurse, current or retired, to join the Care Team for a senior male as a private contractor in Kingston. Client preference is an older female. Must have experience with dementia symptoms and coping mechanisms. Daily activities include meal prep, personal care, make/change bed, med cue, simple exercises, toileting assistance, rising from bed, dressing and assistance in getting ready for bed and into bed, as well as taking of vitals. Client is mobile with a walker and caregiver assistance. There is a regular routine the team follows.

Client is very personable and loves to watch old movies and chit chat!!!! …and the family is amazing!

Position is part-time with 2 shifts per week, with an opportunity to do fill-in shifts due to absences when available. Successful applicant will be required to be trained on both shifts, although we do our best to accommodate personal preference as to days or overnights. Training shifts are paid shifts.

Currently running 2 shifts in a 24 hour period, 8am – 4pm and 4pm – 8am. The overnight shift is considered a resting shift and a bedroom is provided. Client usually in bed by 830pm and rises at 7am for the day. One weekend per month is required.

Pays are twice per month and are per shift, not per hour. The position is available immediately.
