Barista Job

Location: Savours Fresh Market, 3011 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON

Position: We are hiring a barista (up to 30 hours a week) for afternoon/evening shift and must be available to work on Sundays. There is possibility for growth in the company.

Experience:
Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, but not required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Adhere to store operating policies and standards, including quality beverages and food products, cash handling, and store safety and security.
• Engage with and understand our customers, responding to their needs with clear and pleasant communication.
• Prepare food and beverages according to standard recipes or customized for customers.
• Be ready to take on various tasks within the store during each shift.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions, seeking clarification as needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships.

Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and serve baked goods, coffee beverages, smoothies, and other foods.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions with accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning counters and
equipment.

pay: $16.55/hr to start, with review after 3 months.
