Mechanic – Heavy Equipment

We are seeking a full time, hard working, heavy equipment mechanic to join our growing team.
GMX Excavating is a family run business located in Taber. You will join a positive work environment that encourages growth and development.
You will be responsible to diagnose, repair and maintaining all makes and models of construction equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, semis, rock trucks, etc). As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills. This is a hands-on position that will provide valuable experience in a fast-paced environment. This is a shop-based position that will require occasional field service calls with provided service truck. Someone interested in all aspects of heavy equipment and truck repairs, including welding and fabrication would be the ideal candidate.
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Duties Include:
• Assist with CVIP inspections.
• Troubleshoot units and identify problem areas.
• Preform all necessary preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure all maintenance schedules are maintained.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems.

Pay: Based on experience
Location:
• 6419 Wildrose Drive, Taber AB.
• Ability to relocate or reliably commute to work before starting.
• No housing is supplied.
Experience:
• Mechanical: 5 years (preferred, not mandatory)
• Heavy Equipment technician: 5 years (preferred, not mandatory)
Licence/Certification:
• Trade Certificate (preferred, not mandatory)
