General Manager
Manages overall production and log yard operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of staff, productivity, quality control and safety measures as established and set for the company. Ensures safe and efficient operations. Serves as a company representative on regulatory issues. Enhances the operational procedure, systems and principles in the areas of business processes, enhanced management reporting and looks for opportunities to expand systems.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain overall responsibility for split rail mill production.
• Responsible for inventory management.
• Work to help identify process improvements and ensure cost initiatives are focused on to ensure we are offering the best return.
• Provide direction and guidance to the production department by effectively. communicating the goals and objectives set forth by the company.
• Support the Sales Operation to ensure that BKB expands and further develops the business.
• Manage quality and quantity of employees to maximize productivity.
• Develop metrics that are meaningful in improving performance of the groups within the scope of position.

Duties Include:
• Ensure appropriate and relevant training is defined, developed, delivered and maintained in conjunction with support staff.
• Provide technical support where necessary.
• Control Inventory and ensure that effective controls are in place to monitor turns and inventory levels.
• Research new and alternative technologies to increase efficiency.

Qualifications – Preferred applicants will possess:
Requires 6 years of experience related. Previous leadership experience for all aspects of manufacturing and plant operations. Manufacturing systems Engineering or similar relevant education from a recognized post-secondary institution is an asset. Strong background in equipment operations and different equipment capabilities.

• Experience with safety valves, pressure relief valves as asset.
