Long Haul Truck Driver

Skills:
-Must have at least one year of driving experience in Canada.
-Must have USA visa
– Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
– Proven experience as a long haul driver or similar role
– Proficient in operating forklifts and other relevant equipment
– Strong knowledge of freight transportation regulations and procedures
– Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance tasks
– Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
– Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and team members effectively
Duties:
Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailer (flatbed) to transport goods and materials over long distances
Preform pre trip inspections
Drive a vehicle in a professional manner
Fill out proper documentation
Tarping
Picks and drops
Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain logbooks
Transport goods and materials over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery
Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic automotive repairs as needed
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
