Part-time or casual book keeper

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented part-time Bookkeeper to join our team.. In the future, this will become a full-time opportunity. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with budgeting and financial forecasts.
Must have experience using Quickbooks Online.
Although this work will mostly be done remotely, you need to live in or close to Winnipeg to facilitate exchange of documents.
Duties:
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
– File Government remittances (WCB, payroll deductions, and GST)
– Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
– Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents
– Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
– Assist with budgeting and forecasting
– Monitor cash flow and ensure timely payment of invoices
– Collaborate with the accountant and management to ensure compliance with financial regulations
– Assist with payroll processing as needed
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or accounting
– Proficiency in QuickBooks online 2 yrs minimum
– Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
– Familiarity with account reconciliation procedures
– Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
– Strong organizational skills and ability to complete tasks efficiently
– Good communication skills, both written and verbal
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
