Class 1 Truck Driver

Position: Class 1 Truck Driver
Location: Annapolis Valley

Howard Little Excavating Ltd. is a locally owned Annapolis Valley company that has continued to grow over the past 45 years. We specialize in sewer, water and road construction as well as excavation for residential, commercial and industrial buildings covering Kings, Annapolis and Hants Counties. Responsibilities:
• Safety program compliance and participation, including daily drivers log requirements
• Vehicle greasing and daily checks, including daily vehicle inspection reports
• Safely transporting gravels, bulk materials or equipment with Tandem or semi-trailer configuration
• Occasional operation of loader/excavator may be required

Qualifications:

1. Candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience as class 1 truck driver
2. First Aid & WHIMIS are a requirement
3. Candidate should be fluent with tandem or semi-trailer truck operation
4. Experience with large float moves is considered an asset
5. The motivated candidate should be able to equally perform alone and in a team environment
6. Preference will be given to candidates with experience operating other earth moving equipment
