Job description

We are looking for Industrial Mechanics that will have direct accountability for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical and mechanical services and equipment in the plant under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager to continue plant operations and minimize downtimes of operations.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Trouble shooting/repairs/installations/ of processing equipment with a working knowledge of electrical to allow efficient repair/replacement replacements.
Carry out oral/printed work requests and apply corrective measures in a timely fashion. Have intermediate grasp of related mechanical requirements and apply corrective measures.
Perform PM’s and regular Work Orders and account for inventory and labour. Welding repairs and/or fabrications of equipment parts of Food Safety Standards.
Fulfill basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs and requesting assistance when necessary.
Fulfill all Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP Plan, WHMIS, and SDS requirements.
Communicate daily repair activity as required Maintenance Team, and Operations Team etc.
Conduct Planned Preventative & Predictive Maintenance and keep maintenance records.
Recommend and implement correct action and required repairs.
Carry out Health and Safety Responsibilities as per the H&S Plan of the plant.
Any other duties as part of the plant operations pertaining to the Maintenance and Refrigeration area tasks, H&S tasks as per the plant H&S plan. (Details will be provided.)
Requirements

Minimum of 2-3 years of poultry slaughter operations or meat processing.
Ontario Certificate of Qualification as Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 443a
Basic Computer skills with fluency in English in communication.
Working Hours

44 hours of weekly work
Ability to work as per weekly schedule including working on Saturday or non-production hours for completing the projects or plant maintenance-related tasks.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $36.00-$46.00 per hour
