Salary range: $47,189.45 – $53,580.19
Responsibilities
- Develop recommendations, oversee assigned functions (e.g. accounts receivables, payables, data entries T2202s, invoicing, PCI Compliance, etc).
- Complete payment processing, student loan processing, create payment plans, deferrals, sponsorship coordination, invoicing, withdrawal letters, outstanding balance collections, and respond to general student account queries.
- Oversee the day-to-day operational workflow of the business office. Most work activities will be self-initiated within the scope of stated objectives.
- Decide when problems require the attention of a higher-level manager and will explain those problems and their impact and suggest possible solutions.
- Consult with manager when problems involve new application or interpretation of policy, requiring a clear deviation from same, or affect the professional activities of the unit.
- Resolve non-routine administrative problems, advise, and determine applicable policy, procedures, and requirements (e.g. recommend procedures to improve efficiency of assigned functions).
- Provide daily direction and guidance to other administrative support staff in the Business Office by determining work methods and procedures, provides training, staffing and equipment needs.
- You may serve as a member of boards/committees as a representative of the Business Office.
Qualifications
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary diploma in Business or Administrative Professional/Office Administration.
- You have a minimum of three years of recent and related occupational experience in a fast-paced, office environment.
- You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology, and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
- Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Experience within finance, accounting, and/or a student services environment is an asset.
- Demonstrated customer service experience with ability to communicate effectively and courteously within a diverse environment.
- Occupational experience using PeopleSoft Student, SAP or other account management software would be considered an asset.
- Experience training others would be considered an asset.
