Janitor Cleaner

Our mission is to respect each resident according to their individual needs. We are looking for a janitor/cleaner to work 10-12 hour shifts, starting at 9 am, on Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The pay rate is $16.25-$16.75 per hour.

Responsibilities:
• Promote and protect Resident Rights.
• Adhere to safety policies
• Inspect the building, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required
• Fully clean common areas and resident rooms. Bring garbage to the dumpster.
• Monitor cleaning supplies, and tools and reorder as required
• Keep outside stairs and ramps free of debris and snow. Mow lawns and weed gardens.
• Clean storage closet, cart, buckets, and mops.
• Ensure documentation is completed on a per shift basis.
• Participate in staff meetings and fire drills.

Requirements:
• RCMP Criminal Record Check.
• Current Workplace First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Must not be allergic to cigarettes, paint, and cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to move furniture with the use of a cart.
• Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
