Project Coordinator – Temporary Position
SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of Management, is responsible for project coordination, deficiency reporting, reviewing site minutes of meetings, ordering/purchasing material, maintaining scheduling reports, and shop drawings for each assigned project. This position will work closely with the Project Manager and the purchasing department. It is also to be noted that this is a temporary position as it will be filling in for someone on maternity leave and will be paid on an hourly basis.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Project Co-ordinator reports directly to the Management team. You are responsible for maintaining good inter-company relationships, work effectively with other employees and site customers, and render assistance where necessary.

Upon being assigned various projects, it is your responsibility to handle the following:
- Ensure that Rodney’s contractual responsibilities are being performed on each project in an ethical, safe, and prudent manner
- Ensure all administrative aspects of a project are complete as per contractual requirements
- Help with walk in customers
- Creating, ordering, issuing, and revising shop drawings
- Maintaining the production schedule
- Interfacing with clients regarding scheduling and discrepancies in material
- Ordering products and materials
- Approving and posting payables
- Handling Shipping and invoicing
- Reviewing CCOs
- Ensure all shop drawings and products follow our manufacturing standards, while maintaining the utmost in quality. Voice any concerns to Management, or the appropriate person, in a very timely manner.
Skills:
- Ability to work effectively with computers, particularly in Excel, Word, Outlook, learn Seradex, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Time management
- Good interpersonal skills
- Be able to handle and coordinate multiple projects at one time
- Must work well in a team
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction specifications, meeting minutes, and legal documents
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping
