DZ Driver

Hiring DZ Drivers for one of our clients in Concord, ON.

JOB DUTIES

• Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers
• Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind
• Deliver order via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers needs
• Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies to the company
• Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required
• Perform occasional warehouse and counter duties
• Assemble, install or set-up delivered goods or merchandise when required
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

• Superior customer service skills
• Able to read a map and accurately plan a route
• Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures
• Effective listening, oral and written communication skills
• Lift/carry/maneuver heavy material or equipment up to 50 lbs
• Operate forklift in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements Knowledge

Employment Requirements

• Possess and be able to maintain a valid Province of Ontario DZ Drivers License, clean driving record and must pass driving record check annually
• Minimum 3 years experience with a letter from the insurance company should state the time the driver was insured and the type of vehicle they were covered under.

Additional Information

• On-the-job training is provided
• Progression to supervisory positions or to non-driving occupations, such as dispatcher or driver trainer with additional training or experience
• D2 training may be paid for by the company if required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 per hour
