The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and serving of meals while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role is crucial in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and delicious meals in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals following specific dietary requirements
• Ensure food safety standards are met during all stages of food handling
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment
• Provide excellent customer service to residents during meal times
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal operations
• Follow proper procedures for meal preparation, portion control, and storage
• Support in the setup and cleanup on dining areas

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or a similar role is considered an asset
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
• Strong time management skills to ensure timely meal delivery
• Experience in a long term care facility also considered an asset
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing to dietary needs
