Responsibilities
Working in a team environment, you will provide a full range of administrative support services for the School of Fisheries, Shelburne Campus, with the emphasis on providing superior customer service to all clients, including but not limited to students, staff and the public. As front-line support, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, providing administrative support such as taking student bookings for industry courses and customized courses. Minute taking, filing, booking rooms and meetings, calendar management, supporting faculty as well as general office support as required. Familiarity with PeopleSoft is an asset. This position reports to the Academic Chair.

Qualifications
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in business or office administration. High school completion with significant years of administrative experience (10) will also be considered.

  • You have a minimum of three years of recent and related occupational experience in a fast-paced office environment.

  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail.

  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology, and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.

  • You have proven records and information management skills and abilities specifically related to student/ course records.
